๐ Step-by-Step Guide (5 Steps)
Build the Custom Trunk
Place Oak Logs vertically from the ground up to roughly 12 to 15 blocks high. Add a 2x2 or 3x3 irregular base with diagonal root-like extensions to make the trunk look natural rather than a straight pole.
- โข A thick, natural-looking wooden pillar standing 12-15 blocks tall with flared roots touching the ground.
- โข Building a perfectly straight 1x1 pillar that looks artificial.
Construct the Floor Platform
Branch outward from the top of the trunk using horizontal logs and support struts. Fill in the center with Oak Planks to create an irregular 7x7 or 9x9 walkable living platform.
- โข A solid wooden floor supported by angled branch beams extending from the main trunk.
- โข Making the platform a perfect square which clashes with the organic tree shape.
Frame Walls and Window Openings
Erect log corner pillars 3 blocks high around the edge of the platform. Fill the gaps with oak fences and glass panes to form safe, transparent walls that allow 360-degree views.
- โข A secure 3-block-high perimeter wall with clear window sections and log posts.
- โข Using solid opaque blocks entirely, blocking the view from the canopy.
Sculpt the Leaf Canopy Roof
Layer Oak Leaves above the wall frame in expanding dome rings, tapering inward toward the crown. Extend leaves outward and drape a few layers downward over the walls to integrate the cabin into the foliage.
- โข A rounded, full leafy canopy fully covering the roof with natural overhanging vines or leaf blocks.
- โข Creating a flat single-layer roof of leaves that lets rain and mobs through.
Install Access Ladder and Interior
Place ladders or winding stairs spiraling up the main trunk to the platform entrance. Furnish the interior with a bed, crafting table, chests, and lanterns suspended from the ceiling beams.
- โข A complete climbable ladder system on the trunk and a fully lit, functional interior living space.
- โข Leaving dark spots below light level 1 inside the room.
