๐ Step-by-Step Guide (5 Steps)
Clear Ground and Lay Foundation
Clear a flat 12x10 block area. Outline the base perimeter using White Concrete to define the outer walls and an inset wooden floor section. Fill the interior flooring with Oak Wood Planks.
- โข A flat 12x10 rectangular base with a white border and wooden interior planks visible on screen.
- โข Miscounting dimensions leading to uneven room scaling later.
Raise the Modern Structural Frame
Build four-block-high pillars of White Concrete at the front-left and rear corners. Connect the top of the pillars with a horizontal beam to create an asymmetrical modern arch. Infill the secondary side wall with Gray Concrete for contrast.
- โข A 4-block-high white cantilevered arch frame with contrasting gray side accent walls.
- โข Making the ceiling height too low (under 3 blocks of internal clearance).
Install Floor-to-Ceiling Glass Walls
Place stained Glass Panes inside the open frame areas along the front and side facades. Leave a two-block-high gap in the front wall for the entry door.
- โข Seamless glass panels filling the large front wall frame with an empty 1x2 doorway gap.
- โข Using full glass blocks instead of panes, which removes architectural depth.
Add Roof, Lighting, and Entrance Door
Cap the roof using White Concrete slabs or blocks, leaving a 2x2 opening for a skylight if desired. Install flush Sea Lanterns or hidden light sources in the ceiling corners, and place an Oak Door from the inside of the frame.
- โข Enclosed solid roof with recessed lighting illuminating the interior evenly, and a placed door.
- โข Leaving unlit dark spots inside where hostile mobs can spawn.
Detail the Exterior and Landscaping
Place leaf blocks along the outer base of the gray concrete wall to add natural texture. Add a simple stone path leading to the front door and place a small flower planter near the entrance.
- โข Finished modern structure surrounded by green hedge trimming and a clean walkway.
- โข Over-cluttering the compact build with too many distinct block varieties.
