📋 Step-by-Step Guide (5 Steps)
Excavate the Perimeter and Piston Trench
Clear a flat 9x11 area of grass using your shovel. Dig a 3-block-deep, 2x4 trench centered directly in front of where your front entryway will sit. Place two sticky pistons facing upward at the bottom of the trench with oak planks resting on their sticky faces.

- • Placing regular pistons instead of sticky pistons, preventing retraction.
Wire the Retractable Entrance Gate
Run a line of redstone dust beneath the pistons leading to a redstone torch inverter beneath the doorframe. Run redstone wiring through the foundation to a concealed wall lever inside and an external pressure plate placed two blocks out. When powered, the pistons must extend upward, raising wooden log blocks to seal the 2-block-high entryway.

Erect Wall Frames with Spider-Proof Overhangs
Raise stripped oak log corner pillars 4 blocks high around the 9x11 foundation. Fill the wall sections with oak planks, inserting glass panes at eye level for visibility. Fasten upside-down oak stairs along the exterior top lip of the walls to create a 1-block lip that spiders cannot climb over.

Build the Non-Spawnable Slab Roof

This mechanical property prevents any mob, including Phantoms and Skeletons, from spawning on top of the house regardless of light level.
