How to Fix Controller Stick Drift

📋 Step-by-Step Guide (7 Steps)
Remove Controller Outer Shell
Pry off decorative faceplate trim or grip panels using a plastic spudger to reveal hidden screws. Remove all external housing screws using the correct precision bit (PH00 or Torx T8/T6 Security) and carefully unclip the clamshell case.

Disconnect Battery and Ribbon Cables
Gently pull the lithium battery connector straight out of its socket by the plastic head, never by the wires. Use tweezers to release any ZIF ribbon cable latches and slip the flat ribbon cables out of their headers to free the mainboard.

Remove Thumbstick Caps and Expose Modules

Ensure the small wiper disc is seated squarely against the joystick shaft pivot point. Push the green/orange potentiometer housing firmly back against the module until the plastic clips audibly click and lock flush against the joystick frame.
