📋 Step-by-Step Guide (5 Steps)
Power Down and Isolate the Device
Turn off the printer using the physical power button and wait for internal components to park. Unplug the power cable from the rear socket and the wall outlet to eliminate shock hazard. Open the main access door and rear hatch.

Clear Obstructions and Jammed Paper

Clean the Pick-up and Feed Rollers
Dampen a lint-free microfiber cloth lightly with distilled water or isopropyl alcohol. Gently wipe the rubber pickup rollers to remove accumulated paper dust and ink residue. Rotate the rollers manually to clean the entire outer surface circumference.

Blow Out Dust and Foreign Debris
Hold the can of compressed air upright at least 4 inches away from internal sensors. Deliver short, controlled bursts across the optical paper sensors and carriage encoder strip. Ensure no debris or stray staples remain inside the tray area.
- • Sensor bays and gear cavities free of lint, hair, and particulate matter.
- • Tilting the compressed air can sideways, which sprays freezing liquid propellant.
Reassemble, Power On, and Run Test Page
Close all access panels, reinsert the paper tray aligned with paper guides, and reconnect the power cord. Turn on the unit and allow the internal self-check sequence to complete. Load clean paper and initiate a built-in hardware self-test print from the control panel.
