Select Room and Position the Workstation
Place your desk centered along the shorter wall of the room, facing into the length of the room. Keep the desk at least 8 to 12 inches away from the front wall to reduce bass buildup. Avoid putting your workspace directly in a room corner, which exaggerates low-frequency resonance.

Hang DIY Acoustic Treatment
Install adhesive hooks at head height on the walls directly to your left, right, and behind your recording position. Hang heavy moving blankets from the hooks so they drape with slight folds rather than pulling taut. This traps early flutter echoes and vocal reflections for minimal cost.

Connect Interface, Mic, and Headphones
